Hotel Supervisor

This unique hotel with 17 bedrooms, offers a getaway destination little more than an hour’s drive from Inverness.

General Duties:

  • Public spaces, heating, lighting, cushions, fire, restaurants (are we ready to receive guests?)
  • Boilers
  • Toilets
  • Staff members presentable and present
  • Outside area tidy
  • Rooms Ready
  • Mail to be done, cleared daily

Main Responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping training along with Head Housekeeper
  • Housekeeping room checks (including room maintenance) along with Head Housekeeper
  • Housekeeping stock along with Head Housekeeper (signed by GM and order placed by Head Housekeeper)
  • Restaurant Service
  • New starts induction, documentation and signed agreements
  • Tripadvisor replies (approved by GM)
  • Petty Cash
  • Staff canteen and staff accommodation cleanliness

The above list is the main duties you are responsible for. The above list is to be used as a guideline only and is not an exhaustive list. Overall a Hotel Supervisor is there to support the General Manager with all aspects of the hotels operations and as a manager of The Inch Hotel you are expected to ensure the smooth running of the hotel at all times.

General Assistant

The employee must have a smart appearance and be enthusiastic and willing to diverge between all hotel departments. Duties will include covering the restaurant, bar, kitchen and housekeeping with the addition of general hotel tasks as required. You must be able to multitask within jobs and show a vast array of capabilities in order to cover all aspects of the hotel.

  • Excellent communication skills and being a team player is imperative.
  • To be flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times if required.
  • To comply with all Hotel policies and procedures to ensure that all-statutory regulations are observed.

Live-in accommodation available if required.

Kitchen Porter

The following requirements are needed for completion of this role:

  • To follow cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean sections and other areas as directed.
  • To ensure that all kitchenware is cleaned and well maintained including using all chemicals appropriately.
  • To report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef immediately.
  • To comply with all Hotel policies and procedures to ensure that all-statutory regulations are observed.
  • To comply with the conditions of the food hygiene policies.
  • To be flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times if required.

Good understanding of English is preferred and you must work well within a small team.

Live in Accommodation available if required.
